Final West End Sidewalk Improvement Main Street Project Phase Begins
Officials donned shovels to announce the last phase of the project to beautify Main Street with the West End Sidewalk Improvements Project.

EAST HAVEN, CT —The West End Sidewalk Improvements Project has just entered its fifth and final phase.
"We are thrilled to announce the start of Phase 5, the last phase in ongoing efforts to beautify Main Street with the West End Sidewalk Improvements Project," East Haven Mayor Joseph A. Carfora announced Thursday. The last phase is the update of sidewalks and walkway to the town line.
"We are hopeful that the increased foot traffic brings economic benefits to the many businesses on Main Street, encourages new businesses, and neighbors to invest in their neighborhood," Carfora said. "This will also bring an aesthetic appeal to the West End while improving pedestrian safety, making a safer and more accessible walkway for everyone."
