New Details Released About Large East Haven Police Presence
Officers were at the scene for several hours Friday.

EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven Police released new details concerning why there was a large police presence on Laurel Street today.
"Earlier today at about 11:20 a.m., our dispatch center received a call on Laurel Street for what was reported as a home invasion. Upon further investigation, this incident was not a home invasion. At this time, we believe that this incident was not random and the victim is familiar with the suspects. The incident is still under investigation. There is no threat to the community," East Haven Police say.
EAST HAVEN, CT — There is a large police presence in the area of Laurel Street and Sharon Drive, reports WTNH News 8. The scene is active as of 12:25 p.m. Friday.

Several police cars are at the scene on Laurel Street and the call first came in around 11:30 a.m., NBC CT reports.
