Man Struck By Car Friday Died, Police Seek Witnesses
When police and rescue arrived, the man was lying in the roadway. He would die as a result of his injures.

EAST HAVEN, CT — A man was stuck by a car on Main Street Friday afternoon, and later died from his injuries, police said.
Juts before 4 p.m., East Haven police and firefighters responded to a report that a pedestrian had been hit by a car in the area near 526 Main St. When first responders arrived they found a man lying in the road. He was treated by medics there but was soon transported to Yale New Haven Hospital.
At around 9 p.m., police reported that the man had died.

Police aren't identifying the victim until his family has been notified. Police Lt. Joe Murgo said the person driving the car is cooperating. But, police are asking for witnesses to call investigators at 203-468-3820.
The roadway was reopened at around 9 p.m.
