EAST HAVEN, CT — Meet the East Haven Police Department K-9 Unit Sunday at T & J IGA Supermarket, 875 N High St., East Haven, from 11 a.m. to noon. They'll be on hand for an hour to demonstrate all the many ways these dogs help the community.

The East Haven Police Department K9 program is an "extremely valuable component to our law enforcement operation," police said. East Haven K9 officers are all highly trained.

East Haven's K9s are Ace, Enzo, and Mack. Ace works alongside partner Officer Kevin McGuire. Enzo works with partner Officer Donato Palma. And now, Mack, who'd been by the side of Fred Sego, is Officer Stephen Marsico's right hand.
