Meet The Rotary Club Students Of The Month

EAST HAVEN, CT — The East Haven Rotary Club recently recognized two East Haven High School junior students as their November and December recipients of the club's Student of the Month program.

Each month the Rotary recognizes a student from East Haven High School's junior class. The student is invited to attend a Thursday night dinner meeting at the Twin Pines Diner Restaurant and is presented with a certificate and a check for $100. Winners then become eligible for the $1000 Jack Leary Memorial scholarship to be awarded at the end of their senior year.

Ashley Lynch, the November recipient is a member of the East Haven High School Cheerleading Team, the school's National Honor Society chapter treasurer, leader of the school's S.A.D.D. chapter and is a member of HOSA and the Math League. She plans to attend college and earn a degree in physical therapy or mathematics.

Ohm Patel is the December honoree. He is also a member of HOSA, S.A.D.D. and the National Honor Society. He plans to major in biology at college and then attend medical school with the goal of becoming a doctor.
