Obituary: Angelo Longobardi, 100, of East Haven

A veteran of the US Army serving during WWII and the recipient of the Purple Heart, he was a Foreman with Marlin Firearms for over 24 years.

Angelo Longobardi, 100, of East Haven, passed away February 2, 2024 at CT Hospice in Branford. He was born October 12, 1923 in New Haven to John Sr. and Angelina (Caiffo) Longobardi. Angelo is survived by his two loving children; John Longobardi (Irene) of East Haven and Barbara Criscuolo of East Haven along with five grandchildren; Gina Criscuolo of New Haven, Kim Criscuolo of New Haven, Michelle Longobardi of East Haven, Angela Criscuolo of East Haven and John Longobardi of East Haven and one great grandson, Thomas Biehler.

Angelo is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty (Vuksinic) Longobardi (2013), a daughter, Debra Ann Longobardi, son-in-law, David Longobardi and four siblings; Henry, John, Rudolph and Eugene Longobardi.

Angelo was a graduate of Hillhouse High School and proud veteran of the US Army serving during WWII and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a Foreman with Marlin Firearms for over 24 years.

Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Christian graveside service with US Army Military Honors on Tuesday February 6, 2024 at 10:30 AM in East Lawn Cemetery, 58 River Street, East Haven. All Services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven CT.
