Obituary: Brian “Billy” Wallen Sr., 62, of East Haven
Prior to his retirement, Brian was the owner of Sullivan's Café in New Haven. Brian was an avid boxing and drag racing fan.

On September 25, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loving wife, daughters and family, Brian “Billy” Wallen Sr., 62, was called home to be with his son. Prior to his retirement, Brian was the owner of Sullivan's Café in New Haven. Brian was an avid boxing and drag racing fan.
In his retirement he enjoyed building his race car engines, going to drag races or watching his grandchildren. Brian leaves behind his wife of 46 years Robin Kripps Wallen of East Haven, his daughters, Cheryl Wallen (Philippe Lombardi) and Dawn Wallen (David Estep) of East Haven and his 4 grandchildren Corey and Brandon Smith, Ariana and Brian Martoni.

Brian was predeceased by his son Brian Wallen Jr. He also leaves behind 4 sisters, Estrellita Koukoulis, Sherylyn and Karen Wallen and Brenda Rose, 3 surviving brothers Glenn and James Wallen and Richard Rose. Brian was predeceased by his parents, Russell and Yolanda Mattei Wallen and brothers, Philip and Russell Wallen. His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Friday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
