Obituary: Elvira “Sis” Prumo Panza, 86, of East Haven
Prior to her retirement, Elvira was employed by D'Elia Associates, working in the Accounts Payable Department.
Elvira “Sis” Prumo Panza 86, of East Haven beloved wife of the late John R. Panza Sr. passed away on April 3, 2024 at her home. Loving mother of Debbie (John) Leonard of East Haven and the late John R. Panza Jr. Grandmother of Alyssa (Ivan Garea) Federico, Anita (Jude) Smith and Christine Leonard. Great-grandmother of Taya, Arianna and Jude. Step-great-grandmother of Trey, John Paul, Dante, Rachel and Dominic. Sister of Fred (Michele) Prumo of Maryland and the late Tina Cosenza. Elvira was born in New Haven on October 16, 1937 daughter of the late Ralph and Rose Barbuto Prumo. Prior to her retirement, Elvira was employed by D’Elia Associates working in the Accounts Payable Department.
Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven MONDAY morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in St. Vincent dePaul Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call SUNDAY from 4pm to 6pm.
