Obituary: Louis C. Ornato, Jr. 68, of East Haven
Lou was co-owner along with his brother of the former Lou's Lodge in the Fair Haven section of New Haven for 40 years.

Louis C. Ornato, Jr. 68, of East Haven passed away July 29, 2017 in the West Haven Veterans Medical Center. Father of Louis Ornato of East Haven and Tanisha Hosley. Son of the late Louis C. and Emily Cimino Ornato. Beloved brother of Nicky Ornato and Anthony (Genevieve) Ornato all of Northford, Roseann Perito of Branford and Marian (David) Kramer of North Haven.
Companion of Bernadette Calandro of East Haven. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Lou was co-owner along with his brother of the former Lou's Lodge in the Fair Haven section of New Haven for 40 years. He served in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict and was the recipient of a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for his valor.

His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Wednesday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00. Interment with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call TUESDAY from 4:00-7:00 PM.
