Obituary: Maria Iovane Fernicola 77, of East Haven

Maria Iovane Fernicola 77, of East Haven beloved wife of Frank Fernicola passed away on October 2, 2017 in Yale New Haven Hospital St. Raphael Campus. Sister of Sylvana Iovane of Naples, Italy, Pietro Iovane of Paris and the late Liliana Franzese and Aldagisa Smith. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Maria was born in Amalfi, Italy on September 7, 1940 daughter of the late Andrea and Lucia Vessichio Iovane. Prior to her retirement Maria was a screen printing technician for Golia Enterprise.

Maria along with her husband Frank loved to travel and took many cruises. Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven FRIDAY morning at 10:15 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rose of Lima Church at 11:00 A.M.

Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call THURSDAY from 5pm to 8pm.
