Teen, 13, Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Car In East Haven
Police also released new details about their investigation into the accident.

EAST HAVEN, CT — A 13-year-old teenager suffered serious injuries after being struck by a car Wednesday afternoon, East Haven Police said. Police say they determined that the teen was at fault for the accident.
The accident occurred at 4 p.m. by 410 Main St., which closed a portion of Main Street from Gerrish Avenue to Pardee Place for several hours.
Witnesses told police that the teen ran into traffic from behind two parked cars and was struck by a vehicle traveling east on Main Street, police said. The male was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver remained on scene and fully cooperated with the investigation, and police "determined (the driver) to not be at fault for the accident."
The teen was "determined to be at fault for the accident" for violating illegal use of highway by a pedestrian, police said. The juvenile was not charged.
