Rotary Club Makes Donation To Shoreline Community Garden Club

After a visit by the Shoreline Community Garden Club, the Rotary Club 'unanimously voted to make a monetary donation.'

EAST HAVEN, CT — The East Haven Rotary Club welcomed the Shoreline Community Garden Club as guest speakers at a recent club weekly meeting.

The Rotary Club's mission includes helping to "beautify and enhance public areas in the Town of East Haven for the enjoyment of all its citizens" though plantings and maintenance of areas including the Fountain on Main and Messina, the Beach House on Cosey Beach, the front of East Haven Town Hall, the town's animal shelter and the Veteran's Memorials on the Town Green.

After a presentation by the Shoreline Community Garden Club, the Rotary Club "unanimously voted to make a monetary donation."

The Rotary Club says it is "always looking for new members and is open to anyone in the Shoreline area." The club meets every third Thursday of the month at the Beach House. Visit its Facebook page here.
