A View From the Deck: "The Bus Stops Here. Get Under It."

It’s been a bad couple weeks for the Obama Administration. First, further investigation and hearings into the Sept. 11th, 2012 attack at the Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which has made more Americans call into question whether the Administration has been fully forthcoming on the true reasons behind the attack, then the revelation that our ‘friends’ at the IRS have been targeting certain Conservative groups applying for ‘non-profit’ status.

Add to this little stew revelations that the DOJ under Eric Holder is now under investigation for the seizure of AP journalists’ phone records, as the DOJ is “looking into” the actions of the IRS, and you almost have wonder if it’s the premise for a really bad Hollywood movie. Or maybe just a healthy dose of ‘Karma.’

Despite this, the ‘Obama Bus’ is doing well and has had two top-level IRS employees, one the interim director, tossed under its career-crushing wheels, with more feedings of the beast surely to come as the days go on, as the President continues to have any responsibility slide off him like water off a duck, tossing the proverbial ‘Buck’ aside quicker than an irritated skunk, all the while stating “Let me assure you, I had no knowledge…”

That’s not very inspiring for many Americans, at a time when we truly need evidence of honesty in government and leadership. To be out of touch with the American people is bad enough, but to claim you have no clue as to what’s going on in your administration is just a further demonstration of an inability to lead and raises suspicion in the minds of many. Don’t forget the axiom “The cover-up is always worse than the initial event.”

But let’s not forget about Hillary, former Secretary of State during the Benghazi incident, who (conveniently) got a bad case of the stomach flu and then “fell and hit her head” when she was to initially testify.

And Susan Rice. Somebody sent her out to make the Sunday Morning talk-show circuit and state that the killing of 4 Americans was the result of an Anti-Islamic video, rather than a well-planned and coordinated attack. The big questions here are ‘Who’ and ‘Why.’

But why has all of this happened? Why this sudden evidence of government out of control? Simple. We sacrificed our Freedom for the semblance of ‘Security.’

“The perception of serving the best interests of the People has always been the alibi of a tyrant.” I can’t remember who said that, but it certainly bears weight in the light of recent events in the (Oligarchic?) Obama Administration. Not that his is the first to overreach its powers, certainly not, but it has most assuredly been the most blatant.

For the most part, the mainstream media has chosen to ignore the issues of the Benghazi attack and most likely got a chuckle over the IRS scrutiny, but are now raising sand over the violation of 1st Amendment Rights regarding the DOJ’s unconstitutional seizure of phone records.

But where was the same indignation when Ambassador Rice spewed out a mound of manure over the reasons that 4 Americans died? Where was the anger over the IRS targeting a specific ideology?

The IRS incident certainly demonstrates that it’s well past time for this collection of inept bureaucrats to dismantle and reform into something that truly works. But let’s not stop there. The Obama Bus hungers and must be fed, lest it begin to run rampant among the regular citizens of our nation.

Perhaps its ravenous hunger can be quelled by tossing under its wheels Holder, Rice, and even Valerie Jarrett, President Obama's Senior Advisor, who once said “After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay.”

I have one word for you, Ms. Jarrett. KARMA.

The ‘Fates that be’ are not smiling on the Obama Administration right now, and many former supporters are finding their eyes opened to a very unpleasant truth: The perceived ‘Security and Safety’ of government in charge is not worth the willing sacrifice of the Freedoms lost.

Meanwhile, the Obama Bus slugs on, seeking more victims to crush under its wheels in this ‘Culture of Cover-ups.’ But let’s not forget one very important thing: Someone is driving it.
