Ammonia Leak Brings HazMat Team To Ellington
Crews from surrounding towns and UConn's hazardous materials team responded to 58 West Road Tuesday.
ELLINGTON, CT — Emergency crews responded to an ammonia leak at the Peterson Farm/Country Pure facility at 58 West Road Tuesday, Oct. 6, according to the Town of Ellington.
The town said in a Facebook update that the leak was contained and safely venting.
“No risk to the public at this time,” the town wrote.

Responders from surrounding towns and UConn’s hazardous materials team were also at the scene, according to the town’s Facebook page.
