• Ellington Woman Admits Stealing Nearly $754K From Law Firm (patch.com) — Ellington residents are learning that a 58-year-old woman from their town has admitted to stealing nearly $754,000 from a Hartford law firm where she worked as bookkeeper and office manager. Federal prosecutors say she forged checks, diverted rental income, and failed to pay taxes for years, leaving her owing restitution and back taxes while she awaits sentencing in December.
