Bond Doubled for Somers Man in Pot Factory Case
A Somers man skipped court and had his bond raised in a year-old pot factory case.

SOMERS/STAFFORD, CT — A Somers man accused of being involved in an in-home marijuana farm that was uncovered in raids in Stafford and Somers had his bond increased to $500,000 this week after skipping a court date, state police said.
Robert Seagrave, 60, was charged with failing to appear on Monday, state police said. He re-arrest was ordered just prior, according to court records.
His bond had been $250,000 and it was doubled. He is due to make another appearance on Feb. 9, court records indicate.

In January, 2017, three were implicated in a case that involved hundreds of marijuana plants, police and court records show.
Frederick Seagrave, 39, entered a guilty plea to possession of more than a kilogram of marijuana with intent to sell, first-degree larceny by welfare fraud and filing a false tax return, court records indicate.

Arrests were made after an Oct 2014 state police raid involving houses in Stafford and Somers during which more than 500 marijuana plants were seized, according to state police records. Raids took place at 72 Gilbert Road in Stafford and 95 Georgewood Road in Somers, according to state police records.
Seagrave and Sarah Craddock, 33, were at the Stafford home during the raid and arrested at the scene, according to state police records.
Robert Seagrave was arrested at the Somers home where police found 1 ounce of cocaine and 2 pounds of processed marijuana, according to arrest records. His charges include operating a drug factory and possession with the intent to sell, records show.
