Singer Back by Popular Demand at the Somers Senior Center

Somers Senior Center will come alive with singer's performance

Vocalist Laurie Festa has been cordially invited to return to the on Tuesday, September 25, at 1pm.  She will perform an eclectic blend of Broadway, classical, and popular musical styles for everyone's enjoyment.  This event is free to all seniors and is compliments of the Town of Somers Senior Center.

Laurie is a life-long native of Springfield, MA.  She has always loved music.  In her mid-teens, she began singing at weddings and nursing homes.  Laurie pursued her musical education at Westfield State College where she majored in voice, with concentrations in theory/composition and music education.  Following college, she pursued a career as a music teacher.  Recently, she has shifted her attention to privately teaching piano and performing as well as recording.  She released her first CD in 2001.  Laurie performs her concerts solo using pre-recorded music to accompany her.

Laurie's prior performance at the Somers Senior Center was absolutely outstanding!  Those seniors who were there thought she was fantastic, have talked about her ever since, and are anxiously awaiting her return on September 25th at 1pm.  All seniors are welcome to come and enjoy Laurie's delightful personality and magnificent singing.  Reservations are required.  Please call the Somers Senior Center at (860) 763-4379 to make a reservation or stop in at the Center and sign up.
