Connecticut Boys at Gettysburg Brings History to Life at Nellie McKnight Museum. Step back in time and experience one of the most pivotal moments in American history during Connecticut Boys in the Battle of Gettysburg, a special one-night-only immersive event on Friday, July 31, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Nellie McKnight Museum, 70 Main Street, presented by the Ellington Historical Society in conjunction with the New England Civil War Museum.

Visitors will discover the stories of Connecticut soldiers who fought at Gettysburg through interactive displays, living history presentations, and engaging storytelling. The evening will also feature live period music, adding an authentic atmosphere to this unique historical experience.

Admission is free, and attendees are asked to bring their own lawn chairs for outdoor seating. Donations are appreciated and will help support future educational programs offered by the Historical Society.

Refreshments will be available. Whether you are a Civil War enthusiast, history buff, or simply looking for an enjoyable summer evening, this memorable event offers a fascinating glimpse into the lives and sacrifices of Connecticut's Gettysburg soldiers.
