CT Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program

The Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) helps eligible participants purchase fresh, locally grown produce from Connecticut farmers. This program supports low-income seniors by providing additional benefits that can be used at approved farmers’ markets and farm stands across the state.
Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) provides low-income seniors and eligible individuals with access to fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, honey, and more. In addition to improving access to healthy foods, the program also supports local agriculture and helps expand farmers’ markets throughout Connecticut.
FMNP benefits can be used from June 1 through November 30 and are accepted at participating farmers’ markets and select farm stands statewide. Eligible items include Connecticut-grown fruits and vegetables, fresh herbs, eggs (state-funded only), and honey (for seniors). Seniors Benefits are distributed through an electronic benefits card. Benefits must be used within the program season and do not roll over.
Seniors must be 60 year sof age or older or living in a housing facility where congregate nutrition servies are provided.
