Ellington Boys Fall To Weaver In Second Round
The Knights' boys basketball season ends with the 53-47 loss to the Beavers.
Jerome Harris scored 19 points, including nine in the pivotal third quarter, as Weaver-Hartford defeated visiting Ellington 53-47 in the second round of the CIAC Class M boys basketball tournament Wednesday.
Harris hit on two three-point shots as the Beavers outscored the Knights 18-11 in the third quarter to erase a 22-20 halftime deficit.
Zack Graves had 17 points and Dan Schofer had 11 points for No. 25 seed Ellington (12-10).

Graves had 12 points in the first half as the Knights outscored Weaver 12-6 in the second quarter to take a surprising halftime lead over the No. 9 seed.
Mike Gresh added eight points for Ellington. Shaquille Ricketts had 14 points for Weaver (15-5), which will play Career Magnet in the quarterfinals.
