Ellington Defeats Somers in Golf

The Ellington High School golf team defeated visiting Somers 170-212 on Monday afternoon at Ellington Ridge Country Club.

Drew Brennan was the medalist for Ellington with a 38. Jeff Bird shot a 41, Kyle Gresh and Ali Larew each shot a 44, Jon McPartland shot a 47, and Greg Ussery shot a 49.

For Somers, Matt Vecchiavelli shot a 49, Cam Stanton shot a 51, Nate Stanton shot a 54, Chris Tarbox shot a 58, and Billy McCluskey shot a 59.

Ellington (4-0, 3-0) will travel to SMSA on Tuesday, and Somers (2-3, 2-2) will host Avon the same day.
