On Thursday afternoon, the Ellington High School golf team defeated host Canton 169-192.
Drew Brennan led Ellington with a 39. Jeff Bird shot a 40, Greg Ussery shot a 43, Ali Larew shot a 46, Ryan Lagan shot a 47, and Jack Snyder shot a 52.
For Canton, Riley Hollis shot a 41, Logan Anderson and Parker Lyons each shot a 47, Greg Grabowski shot a 57, Nick Nardello shot a 59, and Caz Minenchello shot a 63.
The match was played at Tower Ridge Country Club.
Ellington (6-0, 5-0) will host Bolton on Monday. Canton (1-4, 1-2) will host Granby the same day.
