Ellington Hires New DPW/WPCA Chief
Ken Radziwon's first day on the job is Monday, June 6. He takes over for the retiring Timothy Webb.

ELLINGTON, CT — Town officials this week announced the hiring of a new public works chief/water pollution control authority administrator.
According to a Town of Ellington announcement Tuesday, Ken Radziwon was named to that role, with his starting date being Monday, June 6.
Radziwon will replace Timothy Webb, who is retiring from that role.

Radziwon was appointed by the Ellington Board of Selectmen at a special meeting May 17 at a salary of $125,000.
Town officials said Radziwon, a professionally licensed engineer in Connecticut, is a "highly qualified professional with 15 years of engineering experience."

He has a diverse background in construction, transportation and civil engineering, according to the announcement of Radziwon's hiring.
The announcement said Radziwon has spent a majority of his career working with municipalities designing improvements to their public infrastructure.
He has special knowledge of roadway design, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, grant writing and construction administration, Ellington officials said.
He has served as a member of the Ellington Trails Committee as well as an alternate member of the Ellington Planning and Zoning Commission, with an active working relationship with the Capitol Region Council of Governments.
“I’m so pleased to have Ken on board and look forward to the innovation that he’ll bring to the table,” Ellington First Selectman Lori Spielman said in a statement. “He’s very passionate about taking on this role, and I know that this enthusiasm, along with his experience and expertise, will serve the Town extremely well in the years to come.”
“I am excited to build upon the great work that Tim and his team have accomplished and eager to bring fresh ideas to the Town while harmonizing the charm that is Ellington,” Radziwon said.
