Ellington Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

Thomas Schall is accused of uploading child pornographic images to internet cloud storage.

A 30-year-old Ellington man has been arrested after the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit conducted an investigation into the proliferation and dissemination of child pornographic images.

During the investigation, which took place from January 2015 to May 2015, a suspect was identified as Thomas John Schall, of 21 Egypt Rd.

Police said that during the investigation, it was identified that Schall was uploading child pornographic images to internet cloud storage.

A search warrant was issued for a residence, where several items were seized for evidentiary value, police said. An arrest warrant was issued for the accused.

Based upon the facts and circumstances of this case associated with evidence, the suspect’s own statements, and on the strength of a state issued arrest warrant, Schall was arrested.

He was charged with possession of child pornography and obscenity.

A $25,000 non-surety bond was issued and his arraignment is set for June 15 at Rockville Superior Court.
