Ellington Man Files Quick Court Appearance in Murder Case
The Ellington man is accused of killing his wife in 2015.

VERNON/ELLINGTON, CT — The Ellington man accused of murdering his wife two days before Christmas in 2015 filed a quick appearance in Rockville Superior Court on Friday.
Richard Dabate's case was then continued until June 16, a clerk at the court said.
Friday's proceedings came a day after his murdered wife's sister was named the executor of Connie Dabate's estate. Probate Judge O. James Purnell III had already removed Richard Dabate as executor and on Thursday he appointed Marliese Shaw the new executor, records indicate.
