Ellington School Board Member Announces Probate Judge Run

ELLINGTON, CT — Local lawyer Kerry Socha on Thursday announced a run for probate judge in the Ellington and Vernon district.

Socha is the founder of the Law Offices of Kerry A. Socha, LLC in Vernon. She is a Republican member of the Ellington Board of Education and the chairs its Operation Committee.

“I am excited and honored to launch my campaign for judge of probate. I believe my extensive litigation experience coupled with my passion for public service is the right combination to serve the residents of Ellington and Vernon,” Socha said. “In practicing law, I have served as an arbitrator and mediator in both private and court settings in helping people resolve their disputes. I have negotiated thousands of matters on behalf of my clients. I look forward to bringing that same approach to the people of this district.”

Socha has 20 years of litigation experience with a dedication to public service. Socha is a graduate of American International College and Western New England School of Law.

Socha has been married to her husband Chris for the last 11 years and they have two daughters Remy (9), Carly (7) and three dogs Sarah, Charlie and Max. The Socha family is a member of the Ellington Wesleyan Church.
