Ellington and Somers Youth & Human Services Team Up For Healthy Walk

Healthy Walk with a competitive twist. Who will have the most participants? Creativity rewarded with extra entries to a free raffle.

Ellington and Somers Youth & Human Services have teamed up to organize the first Healthy Neighborhoods Walk to celebrate National Public Health Week on Sunday, April 21st.

Walking will occur at the Windermere Trail, parking at the Pinney Street Fields in Ellington. Participants completing a scavenger hunt will be eligible to enter the free raffle.

Location of walk: Windermere Trail

Parking: Pinney Street Fields

Admission: FREE with a donation of a non-perishable food item for the Town Food Bank of your residence.

Competitive Twist!

Which town has the better spirit? Who has more support? Will there be more Somers fans in red and white or Ellington fans in purple and gold? Creativity will be rewarded with additional raffle entries! Which town will contribute the most non-perishable food items?

The trails may be wet and muddy. If the trail is deemed un-walkable, the event will be canceled. Bring an extra change of clothes or shoes for after the event, just in case!

- Cancellations will be notified via email provided during registration and posted on the Facebook event page.

- If you have any allergies, please indicate in the appropriate spot during registration. Don’t forget any necessary epi-pens or medication that may be required!
