She was selected for the Eversource PGA Tour Player Experience.

CROMWELL, CT — Ellington resident Alexandra Fox is a soon-to-be eighth-grader who first started playing golf when she was 6 and goes to the Travelers Championship every year.

This year, she had a new perspective of the PGA Tour stop while swinging her clubs with some of golf’s elite players at the tournament.

The Ellington middle-schooler was one of 36 young golfers selected to participate in the Eversource PGA TOUR Player Experience for Junior Golfers at the TPC River Highlands.

“Playing with the pros at the Travelers was awesome,” said Alexandra. “The tips I learned will definitely help me improve my swing and my whole game.”

Alexandra was selected for the Player Experience based on her personal essay about her golf experience and how she could benefit from the opportunity to participate.
