Ellington-Somers Tennis Blanks Windsor Locks
Both teams put up 7-0 scores against their opponent.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Ellington-Somers girls and boys tennis teams each defeated Windsor Locks 7-0.
The girls, playing at home, got singles points from Hannah Riley, Kristine Gouin, Kat Sisco and Janna Grinaski. Jess Baker-Courtney Binkowski, Karli King-Allison Steinmetz, and Hayley Babineau-Ashley Thomas scored points in doubles.
The doubles teams were a combined 36-3 in games played on the day.
For the boys, singles point-getters were Sachin Panchal, Andrew Parker, Micah Fox and Kevin Sisco.
This singles group was a combined 48-5 in games played.
The doubles teams of Corey Maznicki-Kevin Laurita, Justin Nicoletti-James Costanzo, and James Rockett-Zach Cargill each won their points as well.
The girls move to 3-0 on the season and will host Avon on Friday. The boys move to 2-0 and will travel to Avon the same day.
