Ellington Youth Services To Hold Ready Set Camps For Kindergarteners

Camps will be held at the three elementary schools in July to help children entering kindergarten this fall

Ellington Youth Service is holding Ready Set Kindergarten Camp at the three elementary schools this July. The program gives children entering kindergarten a positive classroom experience to ease the transition come fall. The program consists of a morning meeting, stations/centers, snacks, and playground time to build awareness of routines and transitions. Children are in social situations with new students and adults. Basic friend-making skills are taught. The activities are a way to practice using different materials and respecting the learning of others.

Camps at Center School and Crystal Lake school will be held July 18th through July 22nd from 9am to 12pm. The Windermere School camp takes place from July 25th through July 29th, 9am to 12pm.

Fees for the programs are $50 per child and you can register your child through the Active Net link on Ellington Youth Services website.
