“Thank you for helping support the memory of my cousin Connie and to help us get a conviction in her case,” fundraising site says. “Our hope is that her killer will be charged for this horrific crime which took a loving mother away from her boys. Those of you who knew her know that she was kind, supportive and always willing to lend a helping hand in anyway she could. She always had a smile on her face no matter how she was feeling. She was an active member of the YMCA and enjoyed spending quality time with her boys, parents, siblings, nephews, cousins and friends.”

In December, Dabate, a local mom, was found dead inside her home after an apparent home invasion just two days before Christmas. Her husband was treated for minor injuries. Dabate's death was ruled a homicide shortly after, state police said.
