Glass-Throwing Tirade at Restaurant Leads to Charges

The incident was at a popular area restaurant, state police said.

MANSFIELD, CT — An Ellington woman is facing a pair of criminal charges for a glass-throwing tirade at a popular restaurant during which customers and staffers were sprayed with fragments, an arrest warrant indicates.

State police said the incident took place on June 18 and Bree Maxwell, 40, was arrested on a warrant Sept. 5, state police said.

The incident took place at about 8 p.m. at Chuck's Steak House, according to a warrant. Maxwell was seated at a table with others in and was complaining about the service from the bartender, according to a warrant. One of her complaints was that a Roy Rogers was served in the traditional kids cup and not in a glass as requested, according to a warrant. She was told not to approach the bartender for service because she had an active tab through the wait staff at her table in the bar area, according to a warrant.

She left the premises, but police used video footage from the parking lot to identify her, according to a warrant.
