Hearing on Murdered Ellington Mom's Estate Postponed for 'Complete Inventory'
The court is biding time to examine a history of Connie Dabate's assets.

VERNON/ELLINGTON, CT – A probate court hearing on the estate of murdered Ellington resident Connie Dabate was called off Wednesday to provide more time for a "complete inventory," a court official said.
A motion requesting the move was recently filed by Connie Dabate's sister, Marilese Shaw, who took over the estate in May for Connie's husband, Richard Dabate, after he was removed as executor amid a charge that he murdered Connie.
A court official said it will likely take a month to look at the account details and examine the history of Connie Dabate's account while her husband was in control. It had $76,958.07 in it shortly after her Dec. 23, 2015 death and now shows a balance of $6.42.
