The Latest Troop C Incidents: Assault, Protective Order Violation

TOLLAND, CT — Here are the latest entries in the state police Troop C arrest log.

Nov. 9

TOLLAND, CT — Ralph Biedermann, 50, of Tolland, was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault, according to an arrest report. The incident took place on Sept. 9 on Grahaber Road in Tolland, according to an arrest report.

TOLLAND, CT — Christopher Hopkins, 32, of Windsor Locks, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to maintain the proper lane at 12:20 a.m, on Interstate-84, according to an arrest report. State police said in a report that at one time, he was going so slow that tractor-trailers were changing lanes to avoid him.

ASHFORD, CT — Robin Richard, 50, of Tolland, was charged with narcotics possession after troopers discovered cocaine in her car after a traffic stop, according to an arrest report. She was stopped at 9:25 p.m. on Pompey Hollow Road, state police said in a report.

TOLLAND, CT — Sergio Defaria-Filho, 29, of Charlton, MA, was charged with drunken driving and a lane violation at 12:39 a.m. on Interstate-84, according to an arrest report. He was pulled over for erratic driving, according to an arrest report.

ELLINGTON, CT — Jason Kennedy, 41, of Ellington, was charged with driving under the influence after being pulled over on West Road for erratic driving, according to an arrest report. The incident was at 11:45 p.m., state police said.

SOMERS, CT — Kevin Roberts, 50, of Somers, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct for an incident on Billings Road, according to an arrest report. He is accused of slapping a woman in the face, according to an arrest report.

ELLINGTON, CT — Kenneth Stavnitski, 45, of Warwick, RI, was charged with 2 counts of violating a protective order, state police said in a report. He made contact with a woman after being told not to by a judge, according to a arrest report.

MANSFIELD,CT — Ryan Gilbert, 25, of Mansfield, was charged with second-degree burglary, disorderly conduct and criminal attempt at sixth-degree larceny at 2:35 p.m., according to an arrest report. The charges stem from a burglary at a Chaffeeville Road home, according to an arrest report.

Nov. 17

ELLINGTON, CT — Tia Filip, 27, of Stafford, was charged with drunken driving and a turn violation after a crash involving a utility pole, according to an arrest report. The crash took place near the Pinney Street-Windermere Avenue intersection, according to an arrest report.
