Men Facing Drug, Motor Vehicle Charges After Ellington Stop

The incident began with a bad plate, state police said.

ELLINGTON, CT — One Massachusetts man is facing a narcotics possession charges after a bad license plate induced a traffic stop, state police said.

State police on patrol along Route 83 discovered the license plate in the car containing Agustin Garcia Jiminez, 34, of Worcester and Ricardo Ramirez, 29, of Springfield was not valid so the vehicle was pulled over, state police said.

Traces of methamphetamine was then found in the vehicle, state police said Garcia Jiminez was charged for the drug violation and Ramirez for a plethora of motor vehicle documentation offenses, state police said.
