Minor Goes Airborne, Gets DUI Charge in Ellington
After going airborne through an intersection, he sped through a section of town, state police said.

ELLINGTON, CT — A 20-year-old Ellington resident is accused of getting his car airborne as he crossed over a Route 83 intersection while drunk, state police said.
Kent Bahler, 20, of 46 Jobs Hill Road, Ellington, is due on Court on May 3 to face charges that include driving under the influence, Reckless driving, failing to obey a traffic signal and possession of alcohol by a minor, according to an arrest report.
At 2:19 a.m. on April 22, Bahler was observed by a state trooper heading downhill on Middle Butcher Road toward Route 83, according to an arrest report. His vehicle became airborne and he crossed over Route 83 onto Lower Butcher Road and the trooper gave chase, according to an arrest report.

His speeds exceeding 80 mph on local roads before he was pulled over in a driveway on Jobs Hill Road, according to an arrest report.
Bahler was also pulled over in February for similar charges, according to state police records.

He was observed driving 65 mph in a 30 mph zone in Somers, state police said.
He tried to elude troopers and drove into Ellington on Egypt Road, state police said. He reached speeds in excess of 80 mph on that road and on Hoffman Road along a 2-mile stretch, state police said.
