New Finance Director/Treasurer Appointed In Ellington

The Ellington resident brings more than 30 years of banking industry experience to his new position.

ELLINGTON, CT — A town resident with 32 years of banking industry experience has been appointed Ellington's new finance director/treasurer.

Gregory White, former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Farmington Bank, was appointed by the Ellington Board of Selectmen at its July 8 meeting. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Accounting from UConn and an MBA from the University of Hartford.

White will earn a starting salary of $140,000, according to the human resources department.

Nicholas DiCorleto, Jr. had held the position from Oct. 1980 until his retirement in January of this year; he passed away Apr. 30 from cancer. Daniel Colton was hired May 15 to fill the position, effective June 10, but he rescinded his acceptance on May 30.
