Assumption University, Worcester MA
- Mallory Bartlett, Class of 2026, and Nora Birmingham, Class of 2024, both of Ellington, were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2022 semester. Students named to the Dean's List must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a minimum of a five-class, 15-credit semester to be included on the prestigious list.
Cedarville University, Cedarville OH

- Luke Moffitt, an Ellington student majoring in visual communication design, was named to the fall 2022 Dean's Honor List at Cedarville University. Students receive this achievement for obtaining a 3.75 GPA or higher for the semester and carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours.
Lasell University, Newton MA
- Gianna Chiarenza, a Lasell University student from Ellington, was named to the Dean's List for academic performance in the fall 2022 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, Lasell students must complete at least 12 credits as a full-time student and achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Muhlenberg College, Allentown PA

- Muhlenberg College dancers explored personal experiences and narratives through movement as the Theatre & Dance Department presented "Reset: New Dances" December 1-3 in the College's Baker Theatre. Marissa Haluch, Class of 2024, of Somers, was a cast member/choreographer in "Reset: New Dances."
Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY
- Katiya Zawrotny, of Somers, has received a partial scholarship to Rochester Institute of Technology to pursue performing arts in vocal music. Zawrotny , a graduate of Somers High School, is a first-year student in the Computing Exploration program.
Springfield College, Springfield MA
- Springfield College has named six students from Somers and two from Ellington to the dean's list for academic excellence for the 2022 fall semester. They are: from Somers, Athena Baumann, Karen Desai, Keeley Joyal, Jayden Kement, Dimitri Sanchez and Hannah Uyar; and from Ellington, Kathryn Bonanno and Braden Shea. The criteria for selection to the Dean's List are as follows: The student must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded coursework for the term, exclusive of "P" grades. The student must not have any incompletes or missing grades in the designated term. The student must have a minimum semester grade average of 3.500 for the term.
Stonehill College, Easton MA
- Grace Caso and Jason Webber, both of Ellington, were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2022 semester. To qualify for this honor, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have successfully completed all courses for which they were registered.
University of Saint Joseph, West Hartford CT
- Three students from Ellington have been named to the dean's list for the fall 2022 semester:
Khang Dang, majoring in nursing; Eben Holmes, majoring in biochemistry; and Gladencia Majule, majoring in political science. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.50 or higher for the semester, with no grade lower than a "B."
Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA
- Spencer Whitford of Somers, a member of the class of 2024 majoring in biomedical engineering, was a member of a student team that recently completed an intense research project titled Language Accessibiltiy at the National Technical Museum. At WPI, all undergraduates are required to complete a research-driven, professional-level project that applies science and technology that addresses an important societal need or issue. About two-thirds of students complete a project at one of the university's 50-plus off-campus project centers, which are located around the world. A signature element of the innovative undergraduate experience at WPI, the project-based curriculum offers students the opportunity to apply their scientific and technical knowledge to develop thoughtful solutions to real problems that affect the quality of people's lives-and make a difference before they graduate.
