The Northern Connecticut Football League kicked off the 2015 season Sunday, with 14 programs beginning an eight-game regular season.
At Brookside Park, the Ellington Roadrunners hosted Stafford on opening day.
Next week, Ellington will again be at home, entertaining Enfield on Sept. 20.
