Rep. Davis Receives Committee Assignments

Rep. Davis to serve as Ranking Member on the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee.

HARTFORD – State Representative Christopher Davis (R- Ellington) has been appointed by incoming House Republican Leader Themis Klarides to serve as Ranking Member to the legislature’s Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee for the upcoming 2015-2017 legislative term. The Finance Committee handles all matters relating to state revenue, capital bonding, fees, and taxation. As Ranking Member, Rep. Davis will also be a member of the State Bond Commission.

The committee will be responsible for drafting sections of the upcoming FY2015-2016 budget and overseeing this year’s bond authorizations.

“I look forward to working with majority party leaders of this committee and the Governor to create a budget that does not raise taxes, reduces spending, and is in balance,” Rep. Davis said. “As Ranking Member, I will do my best to ensure that the ideas from both sides of the aisle are heard and considered in negotiations.”
