Sarah Bollinger is seeking another term on the Somers Board of Education. Sarah is a third generation resident of Somers and has served on the Board of Education for the past 4 years. She previously served on the Curriculum Committee, and is currently serving on the Technology Committee and the Policy Committee.
Prior to the Board of Education, Sarah served for nearly a decade on the Somers Fire and Ambulance as a Fire Photographer, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and also on the Board of Directors. She was trained in Search and Rescue Management and was certified by FEMA for ICS (Incident Command System) and CERT (Community Emergency Response Team). She was also the Author and Editor of the 9-1-1 Newsletter which was mailed town-wide. Sarah has also served on the Inlands/Wetlands Committee in Somers, and has been on the Building Code Board of Appeals for several years.
Besides her strong desire to serve the public, Sarah works full time as a Sales Executive in the HVAC Equipment and Controls Industry and has done so for over 20 years. Sarah has one child currently in the Somers Elementary School.
Sarah has a degree in Business, and Facilities Management, and is licensed as a Building Official by the State of Connecticut. Her broad range of knowledge in business, construction and emergency services allows her to put the best interest of the families of Somers at the forefront of her mind while serving in this role, and she would be honored to continue doing so.
