Somers and Ellington Junior Girls Among Lacrosse Teams at Halloween Jamboree

SOMERS, CT — It was part costume party, part sporting event as five junior teams in the Connecticut Valley Youth Girls Lacrosse eastern section met on Saturday for the annual fall jamboree at the Firehouse Field complex in Somers.

Ellington, Vernon, Glastonbury, Somers and Tolland played fall games on Saturdays in Somers leading up to the jamboree.

Players dressed up for Halloween and the games. Ellington went with a superhero theme. Among the Somers characters were a cheetah and a unicorn.
