On Tuesday afternoon, the Somers High School golf team defeated visiting SMSA 174-232 at Elmcrest Country Club.
Nick Elia and Cam Stanton were the medalists - each with a 41 on the day. Matt Vecchiarelli shot a 45, Nate Stanton shot a 47, and Billy McCloskey shot a 54 for Somers.
For SMSA (0-3, 0-2), Tony Correa shot a 51, Christian McDavid shot a 56, Aurelio Ramirez shot a 61, Coleman St. Amand shot a 64, and Nathan Gomes shot a 66.
Somers (2-1, 2-0) will travel to Skungamaug Country Club to take on Coventry on Thursday.
