Somers Golfers Take Down Windsor Locks
The Spartans opened the season with a victory over the visiting Raiders.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Somers golf team defeated visiting Windsor Locks 224-256.
Nick Elia was the medalist with a 40. Cam Stanton shot a 44, Nate Stanton shot a 45, Chris Tarbox shot a 46, and Matt Vecchiarelli shot a 49.
For Windsor Locks, Chris Toce shot a 43, Travis Kupec shot a 49, Nate Pierce shot a 51, Colin Eversdyke shot a 52, and Pat Dulka shot a 61.
The match was played at Elmcrest Country Club.
Somers (1-0, 1-0) travels to Tolland on Wednesday. Windsor Locks (0-1, 0-1) travels to Ellington the same day.
