The Somers 13 and 14 year-old All-Star team defeated Ellington 6-1 on Thursday in the first round of the Junior tournament.
Brian Rossini and Jeff Austin had two hits each and Adam Donovan was the winning pitcher.
For Somers, Rossini, Austin, and Zach Kertenis were standouts.
For Ellington, Brian Fitsimons, Brian Machado, and Jake Sgro played well.
