Somers Man Accused of Choking Victim During Domestic Incident

The incident was early Thursday morning.

SOMERS, CT - A Somers man is facing several criminal charges after his arrest for a domestic incident, state police said.

The incident took place on Main Street at 12:49 a.m. Thursday, state police said.

State police did not release any information on the victim, but sis say choking was involved in the altercation.

Kevin Dumas, 28, of 64 Main Street, Somers, was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree strangulation, second-degree unlawful restraint, interfering, disorderly conduct and threatening, state police said.

He was taken into custody, booked on a $50,000 bond and was to appear in court on Friday, state police said.
