Somers Man Accused of Going Off After Woman Hides Phone in Cookie Jar
She said she was trying to thwart a drug purchase, according to a warrant.

SOMERS, CT — A Somers man is accused of going on a rampage after a woman hid his phone in a cookie jar because she was afraid he would use it to call a drug dealer, according to an arrest warrant.
The man was arrested on a warrant for the Nov. 30 incident, state police said.
He has been charged with second-degree unlawful restraint, threatening, third-degree assault, second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct, police said. He is scheduled for his second court appearance on Jan. 25, state police said.

An acquaintance told police she hid his phone in a cookie jar because she was afraid he wold use it to purchase drugs, according to an arrest warrant. The woman told police when he found out, he went on a verbal and physical tirade that included pushing her against a dryer, according to a warrant.
