Start Time Changed for Ellington-Enfield Girls Soccer Showdown
Friday's game will now begin at 5 p.m. in Enfield.

Anticipation for the Class M girls soccer quarterfinal matchup between NCCC rivals Enfield and Ellington has lengthened by three hours.
The game, originally scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m., has been changed to a 5 o’clock start at Enfield High School.
The teams met twice during the regular season. The Raiders won on opening day by a 6-2 count, while the squads battled to a scoreless deadlock on Oct. 30.

Each team reached the quarterfinals by defeating a higher-seeded opponent on penalty kicks in the second round. No. 12 Enfield topped No. 5 Tolland, 2-1, while No. 13 Ellington outlasted No. 4 Nonnewaug, 1-0.
Ticket prices for Friday’s game (established by the CIAC, not the host school) are $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors (65 and over), and free for children 5 and under.
