Teen Facing Charges for Somers Pedestrian Crash

An Massachusetts teen is facing criminal charges for a crash involving a pedestrian from which he allegedly fled.

SOMERS, CT — An Massachusetts teen is facing criminal charges for a crash involving a pedestrian from which he allegedly fled.

The crash took place at 9:36 p.m. on May 20 in the rear parking lot of Colonial Tire, 160 Main St., according to a report. A car jumped a curb and hit a man, causing him to "fly up in the air," a witness told police.

The car then left the scene, according to a warrant.

Joshua Libby, 18, of East Longmeadow, MA, was charged in the case with first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, and evading responsibility, according to a warrant.
