The Future of Technology; Google Glass

Humans and technology have never been closer thanks to Google's newest product, Google Glass. Lead developers at Google HQ have dubbed their new pair of smart glasses "Project Glass", but these are no ordinary pair of glasses. Project Glass is a new futuristic computer that you can wear on your face! It looks similar to a normal pair of glasses, except there is no left arm. Located on the right arm is a battery pack that rests behind your ear, a touch pad for swiping through menus, and a small conductor that transmits sounds through the bone located in your ear. This makes it seem like you are hearing Google Glass inside your head! The front lens has a small glass prism with angled mirrors which are connected to a small device that projects the images onto the screen.

There are many situations that Google Glass would be very useful for. Imagine this, you are on a cruise ship and you see a dolphin jump out of the water. You don't have enough time to take out your phone so you just press a button on Google Glass to take a picture. Then you could easily share that picture with your friends through the assistance of the integrated bluetooth in your phone for sharing cell service with Glass.

Overall, I think the simplicity and easy to use functions of Google Glass are very helpful in everyday life. There are very few flaws with Glass, although the hardware could use some brushing up. I believe that Google Glass was a very well thought out product and that with sufficient time, all of its bugs will be fixed. I have confidence that once the final version is released, it will have an App Store that anyone can develop apps for. When Google Glass is unleashed, I know I am going to buy a pair. Based on the facts I have listed above, I will leave the final decision of purchasing a pair up to you.
